Oh my!!! I've inspired by this because of my trip to blueberry u-pick farm in Temecula, California. I was very excited to go there after I spot an opportunity to go on a day trip. Because I was just so depressed and, in the meantime, thinking what more can I get to make my coffee a much sweeter warm hug.

Oh, please the weather bugged me, but I have to go to where it makes me happy. It was an enormous attitude shift. Everything was joy. And I was trying to make the most of that afternoon. I took the shorter route when I got back from the farm so, I was a little bit home less than 40 minutes.

A light outfit and sneakers did the trick since I had bad knees, and I can't walk steady because of it. So, I took precautions to wear sneakers, a black skirt and a black tank top with a light crochet vest.

Getting this prep for my blueberry syrup is a way to prize myself with the fruitage of what I was determined to fulfill that afternoon. It is such an amazement for me because not only I am going to try and make syrup the experience in making this was incredible from the picking of the blueberries at the farm.

...enjoying until the last drop of coffee.

I had a goal to make blueberry syrup.

And it is such a treat that will last a little bit with remembering I got to pick the fruits and made it into something I will enjoy until the last drop.

💜 Blueberry Coffee Syrup (Homemade & Cozy)

Yield: 750 ml (about 50 servings) Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes

✨ Ingredients:

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1½ cups water

  • 1½ cups sugar (or use 1½ cups Great Value Monk Fruit Erythritol Blend for a sugar-free version) *

  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract (optional but magical)

  • 1½ tsp lemon juice (brightens the flavor and acts as a light preservative)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Simmer the base: In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, water, and your choice of sweetener. Heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  2. Cook it down: Reduce heat and let it gently bubble for 12–15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Mash blueberries with the back of your spoon to release all their juicy goodness.

  3. Strain (optional): For a smooth syrup, strain through a fine mesh sieve. Press the solids to extract maximum flavor.

  4. Add the extras: Stir in vanilla extract and lemon juice while warm.

  5. Cool & bottle: Let syrup cool completely, then pour into clean containers. Fills one 500 ml bottle + one 250 ml jar.

💡 Optional Notes:

  • Vanilla Extract: Adds warmth and depth—optional, but highly recommended.

  • Lemon Juice: Brightens flavor and naturally helps preserve the syrup.

  • Sugar-Free Version: Great Value Monk Fruit Erythritol Blend works beautifully and still gives that sweet, fruity balance. The syrup may thicken a little less, but the flavor still shines!

🧊 Storage Tips:

  • Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks

  • Shake before use if ingredients settle

For this recipe, there's two options for regular sugar or sugar free substitute option. Just in case you look for both nutrition information then you can make what's best or if you want to try both, you certainly can.

I love how this turned out. I already put mine on the fridge and had used it not for about 4 cups of coffee in two days. Of course, on my first coffee making I try to put cinnamon with the coffee I made, and it is good, but I think it needs more vanilla. So, I want to put a little more splash of vanilla with the whole container.

Give it 12-24 hours which I did not do to ferment to make flavor more robust. Since it is also not as thick because I went sugar-free route. But good thing I did use it immediately, so you know how I observed the flavor change. Oh, you can really taste the difference. Do not overdo it but add just a little more splash of vanilla to the syrup mix.

You can't miss the aroma of the blueberry in the coffee along with vanilla and also cinnamon if you want to add it to your cup of coffee.
